We use a Chat Box on the left hand side of the site for purely Out Of Character purposes. Because it is open to members and guests that visit our site, we would appreciate you following the following rules about posting on the C-Box.
a) No spamming is allowed on the chat box. All members and guests have a right to post here and important questions or information can easily be lost due to rampant posting of one or more members at any given time. Please let other members a chance to reply before saying more. We will accept two to three lines before we consider that member to be spamming. Over excessive posting will grant you a warning.
b) Impersonating other members on the C-Box is rude and inconsiderate. If we find out that any member is doing this, they will receive a warning.
c) To root out inactive members, SC runs activity checks. Posting on the C-Box will not save you from the activity check. You must either post in the IC sections or let us know you're still around. Any absences should be made in the LOA board so we don't delete your account.
d) Again, don't place your 'I'm off on vacation' posts on the C_Box. Admin don't always pay close attention to the C-Box when they're busy doing site business and can easily miss such messages if lots of members are talking there. We have a "Leave of Absence" specifically designed for this purpose, please use that to let us know that you will be away.
e) If you need to talk to a member about something specific and it's long-winded, please make use of the Private Messaging system. People can be put off by long winded conversations that only those two members need be aware about. If it does regard something that other may find useful, then copy your discussion and send it to an Admin and it will be put up on the FAQ board.
f) Absolutely NO ADVERTISING here please. It's meant for chatting about everyday things, for guests to talk with online members and the like. If you have a RP forum to advertise or affiliate, then please look to the appropriate board to do this.
